This site is run by Antaeus Inc., 1401 21st Street #14586, Sacramento, CA 95811, United States. We are building a barefoot shoe for kids. This page explains what we collect on this site and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you join the list or the waitlist.
- Your answers, when you fill in our short survey or tell us why a page is or isn't for you. This can include your child's age and shoe size, the shoes they wear, what you would pay, your city or zip code, and how you heard about us.
- Basic visit information: which page you saw, which version of a page you saw, the buttons you click, and the link you came from (for example, an ad). We give each browser a random code so we can count visitors without knowing who they are. On the survey, we note which questions are filled in, not what you write, even if you don't send it.
Cookies and tracking
We use Google Analytics on this site to count visits, and the Meta (Facebook) pixel on our waitlist page to measure our ads. These services may set cookies and receive information about your visit, such as the page you saw, the buttons you clicked and whether you signed up. They can also collect information about your activity on other websites over time. We do not send them your email address or your survey answers.
Your browser can block cookies. To opt out of Google Analytics, use Google's opt-out tool. To control ads from Meta, use your Facebook ad settings or optout.aboutads.info.
Do Not Track
Our site does not change its behavior when your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal, because there is no common standard for it yet.
What we do with it
- Email you about the shoe and the build. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- Learn what parents want, so we design a better shoe.
- Count which pages and ads work.
We do not sell your information.
Who else handles it
Only the services that run the site and store our data: Squarespace (website and email), Google (Gmail, Sheets and Analytics) and Meta (ad measurement). Each has its own privacy policy.
Children
This site is for parents. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Information about your child (such as age or shoe size) comes from you, the parent.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to delete it, or until we no longer need it to build and sell the shoe.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from any email with one click.
- Ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing shoestartupdad@gmail.com. We will reply within 30 days.
- California residents can make these requests too, and we will not treat you differently for making one.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top.
